I debated adding a long description to our About Page on why we do what we do and different aspects of our ministry. I realized it would turn into a mini-novel, so having a blog would allow me to say everything I want to say and not have the website turn into a marathon read. =)
So. . Why worship every day, all day. . . forever?
Colossians 1 says that all things were made by God and for God. With each passing day I feel this burning in my heart to have my life laid out before Him as a sacrifice of praise. We were made to delight in Him, and have Him delight in us.
Revelations 4:8 gives an account of the cherubim singing "Holy" day and night, never ceasing. Their song is a love offering that never stops because Abba Father will never cease to exist! He was, He is, and He is to come! And Jesus, the Lamb that was slain, is worthy to receive the Honor due to His name! All of Heaven is in constant wonder of the King of Kings, and as sons and daughters of the Living God, I can't imagine how we couldn't join in with Heaven.
When the disciples asked to be taught to pray, I think it's interesting how the Lord began with the eternal song of Heaven. "Holy is Your name! Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven." Which is also our desire through 24/7 worship -- to praise His name, see His will come to pass on Earth, and see that none should perish, but come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Naphtali and I have a burning desire to build 24/7 worship in our region (and beyond) because it's what has been going on in Heaven for eternity, and will continue on forever. This is not a new concept or new thing, but it is our desire to join in with what Heaven is already doing and see Heaven invade our families, our cities, our economy, and our culture. He is Great and So Greatly to Be Praised!
Col. 1:16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
Revelations 4:8 Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty— the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”
Matthew 6: 9-10 This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, my our kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Rev 5:13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
Isaiah 45:22 “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other."
